Mark S. Taper Resource Bank
Shelter Partnership’s Resource Bank:
Transforming Surplus into Support
How it Works:
The Shelter Partnership Resource Bank turns surplus goods into life-changing resources for homeless service agencies in Los Angeles County and beyond. We receive, store, and distribute these goods from our warehouse to the agencies, helping them reduce expenses, save time, and better serve their clients.
At 108,000 square feet, our warehouse allows us to collect large-scale donations before distributing them to our network of vetted nonprofit partners. A one-stop process means companies can supply goods to a number of agencies and lifts the burden of seeking out goods from our partner nonprofits.
Types of Donations:
Since 1989, over $340 million in product donations from companies, manufacturers, and distributors have been distributed to more than 600 nonprofit agencies. Donations include essential items, such as new clothing, diapers, hygiene products, and children’s items. We often receive specialty items as well, including furniture, athletic equipment, and more.
These donations are never sold or traded. We welcome new agencies to join our program and help us continue making a positive impact in our community.
Our Nonprofit Partners:
