The Board of Directors welcomed a couple of new members this year.
Our friend Charmaine Atherton has long-supported Shelter Partnership and attended our Annual Gala. Charmaine is a Senior Development Manager for Bank of America’s Community Development Corporation in the Western United States. After 18 years with the Bank’s Community Development Lending Team, Charmaine recently accepted a position to establish a presence for the Bank’s Community Development Corporation (“BACDC”) on the West Coast. A wholly-owned subsidiary, BACDC deploys both equity and debt to create positive impact in communities nationwide. She is also engaged with the Los Angeles Conservancy and the Urban Land Institute. She brings a welcoming personality and deep care for issues related to homelessness. We’re glad to have her on our team.
New Board Member Fritz Coleman is a very familiar face. After hosting our Annual Dinner, Fall warehouse luncheon, and numerous other events for well over two decades, we finally got him to sit down for a minute and join our Board of Directors. Recently retired from a legendary broadcasting career at NBC4 Los Angeles, Fritz brings boundless energy and curiosity to the fight against homelessness. Fritz was also instrumental in putting on our first Virtual Event, not only serving as host but helping with the many details that went into the production. Since retiring, Fritz is now co-hosting a new podcast, Media Path, with Louise Palanker.
The Board of Directors is primed and ready for a great 2021!
